This was the day that as a 'non runner' from a salvage yard, I was brought to my new home by Mike's friend Simon Rayner, who also provided the basis of my being named 'Gordon'.

February 26th 2007

Mike has been waiting to get me home so that he can get on and try to fire me up.

March 13th 2007

At last I am ready to be fired up - it's very late at night though, dark and raining - and just on the public street, as I live in a lock up on a cul de sac - so it was a bit traumatic. Additionally, with no starter, it was lucky that we had Steve McNichol on hand to do the pushing.

March 14th 2007

Mike wanted to fire me up again, in daylight this time - just to check stuff as we are going testing in France soon. This time, he ingeniously thought to use the Scooterino as a starting device.

March 16th 2007

Mike was doing a tutoring day at Brands Hatch; with Slipstream Tuning just down the road, Roy kindly came up and set my timing up before we left for France.

March 20th 2007

So here we were at Ledenon in the South of France.
Mike had strict instructions for running me in - so that's precisely what he did.

The opening round of the British Supermono Championship at Brands Hatch. We got 3rd!

May 18th 2007

Snetterton was the second and third rounds of the Championship. Mike had done lots of work to me, so he wanted to test things out on the Friday practice day. Just a few laps in to the first session I hi-sided him and smashed myself to pieces.

June 16th 2007

After a most extensive rebuild, we were off again - this time to Wales for rounds 4 and 5 of the British Supermono Championship at Pembrey. After qualifying 3rd we got 2nd place!

July 18th 2007

We had a long day out today, I got to see many of my 'special friends' - and they made some important modifications for my next race.

August 12th 2007

Round 6 at Donington, fastest in untimed practice, then the gear linkage broke in timed qualifying, but my out lap was fast enough to secure me 5th place on the grid, just behind pole position. Finished 2nd with a best lap time of 1-16.84; not quite as fast as the 1-15-51 that Mike did on a practice day last year on that minimono thing - but really good for me.

Just so you can see the actual sponsor membership draw for my new owner as it took place.

October 6th / 7th 2007

Unfortunately the Cadwell weekend did not go according to plan. Mike did the official hand over on Saturday to my new owner Johnny Corrin - then he smashed me to pieces on the Sunday!

April 12th /13th  2008

After a long winter, Peter Day had kindly rebuilt me to be even better than before! Here you can watch my first outing, wearing brand new clothes. I worked hard and scored a great 2nd place in a two horse race with Mark Lawes, then disaster struck...
